Anna Oventrop

Anna Oventrop (born April 28, 1878 in Hagen ; † September 25, 1932 there ) was a social democratic politician .

Oventrop attended a seminar for teachers after primary school . In 1904 she first became an assistant teacher at a primary school in Hagen, later she became a technical assistant teacher and from 1906 until her death she was a teacher of gymnastics and handicrafts at the girls' secondary school in Hagen.

Politically, Oventrop joined the USPD in 1918 . In 1922 she switched to the SPD .

In Hagen Oventrop was chairman of the workers' welfare and from 1925 to 1932 a member of the city council. From 1921 to 1932 she was a member of the Prussian state parliament .
