Anna de Wall (* 1899 in Großefehn ; † 1945 ibid) was a German silhouette artist.

Life

De Wall was born into a captain's family. She spent the first years of her life on the ship with her parents and sailed around the world. At the age of six, de Wall was paralyzed after surgery on his back and used a wheelchair from then on. She studied art in Berlin and attended a painting and drawing institute. She was particularly interested in paper cutting.

She then lived with her mother in Großefehn . After her mother's death, she lived by working as an artist. Her delicate and virtuously cut illustrations on literary and biblical topics have been published by publishers in Hamburg, Oldenburg, Berlin and Leipzig. She married a paraplegic man in Großefehn in 1945. In the same year she suffered serious injuries and died in a fire accident.
