Anna und die wilden Tiere is a German animal documentary - television series for children that has been broadcast on KiKA since 2014 . All title music, score music as well as the songs for Anna and the wild animals are written and produced by Harald Reitinger together with Uli Fischer.

"Anna", portrayed by Annika Preil , travels around the world (including the Pantanal , but also to the island of Usedom and Dollywood to show the various sea eagles there ) or she goes to the deserted Halifax Island to see the African penguins on one to show a place other than the South Pole, she would like to show the wild animals in their natural environment. Each episode focuses on a different animal, about which Anna first acquires basic knowledge in order to then receive new knowledge from experts on site.

The series started on November 23, 2014 on KiKA, the children's channel of ARD and ZDF . It is the continuation of Paula and the wild animals with the actress Grit Paulussen as well as her predecessor Felix and the wild animals with Felix Heidinger on BR television . The series "Anna and the wild songs" and "Anna and the pets" (specials here are the episodes about an "animal hotel", a visit to a film animal trainer and a " school dog ") are offshoots of the program.

Anna renounces overly scientific terms and renames the Latin names child-friendly, e.g. B. the Rana picturata in a male first name like Kai (see sequence: "Which frog croaks in the jungle at night?"). In the episode "Kolibris - die Meisterflieger" she explains the concept of symbiosis in a child-friendly manner .

"Paula, Anna and the wild animals" is a production by Text und Bild Medienproduktion GmbH & Co. KG (producer: Angelika Sigl) on behalf of Bayerischer Rundfunk (management and editing: Andreas M. Reinhard)
