Felix Heidinger
Felix Heidinger (* 1958 in Munich ; † April 15, 2019 there ) was a German biologist , animal filmmaker and television presenter .
Life
In his diploma thesis, Heidinger deals with the thermoregulation of the great mouse-eared mouse .
He belonged to the next generation of animal filmmakers after the animal film pioneers of the 1950s, 60s and 70s ( Heinz Sielmann , Bernhard Grzimek , Eugen Schuhmacher , Horst Stern , Henry Makowski ).
Heidinger became known to a wider public through his children's animal film series Felix and the Wild Animals . Heidinger's films were mainly produced for Bayerischer Rundfunk , ARD and Arte . In addition to the series tailored to children, Heidinger has produced numerous longer animal documentaries that have taken him to many countries around the world, but also to various corners of Germany.
He died in mid-2019 at the age of 61.
