topography

The 227 hectare forest area is located in the Central River Region in the Lower Saloum district and, like the other forest parks in Gambia, was established on January 1, 1954. It is about five kilometers off the North Bank Road , Gambia's second most important trunk road, right on the border with Senegal . Farafenni, the largest town in the region, is around 32 kilometers away by road.
