Anna von Brandenburg-Ansbach (born May 5, 1487 in Ansbach ; † February 7, 1539 ) was a princess of Brandenburg-Ansbach and became duchess and regent of Teschen by marriage .

Life

Anna was a daughter of Margrave Friedrich the Elder of Brandenburg-Ansbach and Bayreuth (1460-1536) from his marriage to Sophia of Poland (1464-1512), daughter of King Casimir IV of Poland .

She married Duke Wenzel II of Teschen on December 1, 1518 († 1524). After Wenceslaus II died before his father and thus did not rule as a duke, Wenceslaus III followed. Adam directly succeeded his grandfather Casimir II as Duke. However, Wenceslaus III was. according to an agreement between his grandfather Casimir II and the Bohemian nobleman Johann von Pernstein placed under his tutelage. At the same time, the later marriage of Wenceslas III. agreed with Maria, a daughter of Johann von Pernstein.
