Anna von Sazenhofen

Anna von Sazenhofen (born August 22, 1874 in Ansbach , Bavaria, † September 24, 1948 in Burgschleinitz-Kühnring , Lower Austria) was an Austrian writer who published under the pseudonym A. von Wernberg .

Life

Born as Maria Anna (or Marianna), Freiin von Roman, she married Freiherr Maximilian Eduard Johann von Sazenhofen in 1897 , the son of the Bavarian cavalry general Maximilian von Sazenhofen . With the collapse of the monarchy, they lost their fortune and lived in the hotel before Anna was able to buy the dilapidated Burgschleinitz Castle cheaply and made it her home. She gave birth to three daughters, Gabriele (1898–1961), Alexandra (1906–1980) and Irmengard (1910–2007), who were also active as authors. She is the great-grandmother of the actress Andrea Eckert .

Works
