history
At the place where the parish church of Kühnring stands today, Hadmar I built the ancestral castle of the Kuenringer , the castle Kühnring, in the first half of the 12th century .
In Harmannsdorf Castle , the Austrian Nobel Peace Prize laureate Bertha von Suttner wrote her novel Die Waffen Nieder!
The birth house of the important prehistoric researcher Josef Höbarth is in Reinprechtspölla .
The Zogelsdorfer stone mined in the community was a stone that was valued for stone carving in the Baroque and Historicism periods .
Reinprechtspölla is a monastery parish of Klosterneuburg, around 1735 the church was enlarged and baroque by master builder Leopold Wißgrill . The plans for this are from the baroque architect of Klosterneuburg Monastery, Donato Felice d'Allio . In the course of the liturgy change, the interior of the church was changed, so the tabernacle was moved to the side altar, etc. The grave of the composer and all-round talent Otto M. Zykan (1935-2006) is located in the Reinprechtspölla cemetery .
In 1944/1945 around 30 Hungarian Jews had to do forced labor in Wisent Castle. Her guard was sentenced to 18 months in prison in 1947 for mistreating the workers.
From 1938 to 1945 Burgschleinitz was part of the Eggenburg municipality; then the local church was restored. In 1967 the communities of Burgschleinitz, Kühnring, Amelsdorf, Buttendorf, Matzelsdorf, Sachsendorf, Sonndorf and Zogelsdorf were merged to form the large community of Burgschleinitz-Kühnring; Reinprechtspölla was added in 1971, followed by Harmannsdorf (with KG Geiersdorf) in 1972. In 1987 the market survey took place.

With the decision of the Lower Austrian provincial government of March 30, 1982, the municipality of Burgschleinitz-Kühnring was awarded a municipal coat of arms. His blazon : “A divided shield above blue, below in the golden field four black bars, covered with a silver, red-armored eagle.” The community colors are blue-white-black.
Population development
After both the birth balance and the migration balance were positive from 1991 to 2001 , the population has been falling since then due to emigration from the municipality.

In 2001 there were 36 non-agricultural workplaces, agricultural and forestry holdings according to the 1999 survey 109. According to the 2001 census, the number of people in employment at home was 670. In 2001, the activity rate was 48.76 percent.
- Established businesses
In 2016 the organic bakery Joseph Brot opened a new 400 m² bread factory on Retzer Strasse in the Burgschleinitz district on a 1,800 m² site. This enabled production from Vitis to be moved closer to Vienna, the bakery's main sales market. The company produces half a million pieces of bread and rolls by hand every year with 39 employees.
