Josef Haslinger (politician)

Josef Haslinger (born August 2, 1889 in Reinprechtspölla ; † January 7, 1974 ) was an Austrian politician ( ÖVP ) and farmer . Haslinger was a member of the Lower Austrian state parliament from 1948 to 1949 .

Haslinger attended elementary school and did his military service between 1910 and 1918, including during the First World War . After the end of the First World War, Haslinger took over his parents' farm in Reinprechtspölla in 1919. At first he was mainly involved in local politics and was a local councilor in Reinprechtspölla from 1924 to 1938. After the end of the Second World War, Haslinger was again a local councilor in Reinprechtspölla in 1945, and between 1945 and 1960, Haslinger was chairman of the district chamber of farmers. Furthermore, he was active in several functions in agricultural cooperatives and represented the Austrian People's Party between September 29, 1948 and November 5, 1949 in the Lower Austrian state parliament, where he replaced Franz Kaindl in the state parliament. Haslinger was made an honorary citizen of Reinprechtspölla.
