The Anne Frank Realschule plus Montabaur has existed as a state secondary school since 1969 . With 940 students in 37 classes, it is currently one of the largest secondary schools in the state of Rhineland-Palatinate . 69 teachers and 3 junior secondary school teachers teach at the AFR. The school was founded in 1969 as a state secondary school and carried this name until 1994. In 1994 it was named "Anne Frank Realschule Montabaur". The number of pupils has remained constant in recent years, even if registrations for the 5th grade are falling for demographic reasons. Since August 1, 2009 the Anne Frank Realschule has been a cooperative Realschule plus .

classes

Elective courses

In grade 6, students can choose between French and a "taster course" through the three compulsory elective subjects technology and natural sciences (TuN), home economics and social affairs (HuS) and economics and administration (WuV). Working groups (AGs)

Together with the Mons-Tabor-Gymnasium there has been an exchange with a college and a Lycée in Tonnerre / France for over 25 years.

Projects

Since 2002, the school has been teaching methods, communication and team development in grades 5 to 8 on basic training days before the autumn and Easter holidays. Training Day has been held annually since 2005, when some companies, schools and authorities present their training professions. In 2007 the Realschule was the pilot school of the AQS, which carries out the external evaluation in Rhineland-Palatinate.
