Anne-Marie Hurst was the singer of the English bands The Elements , Skeletal Family and Ghost Dance .

Anne Marie-Hurst was the singer of the band The Elements until 1982, before she helped found the Skeletal Family at the age of 17. She released two LPs and a compilation album with Skeletal Family . She left this band in 1985 due to "personal and musical differences" and founded the band Ghost Dance with Gary Marx (founding member of The Sisters of Mercy ). Ghost Dance published some EPs , one Compilation - LP , as well as a studio album and dissolved shortly after losing their record contract in 1990.

In 2002, Anne-Marie Hurst wanted to take part in some of the Skeletal Family reunion concerts, but canceled her participation at short notice for family reasons. In July 2009 she announced her comeback on her MySpace page. Since autumn 2009 she has been giving concerts again with the participation of the Skeletal Family guitarist Stan Greenwood , which also played pieces from her former bands. A new album is announced on their official homepage for 2011, and individual new pieces have already been played at concerts.
