Anne Beauchamp, 15th Countess of Warwick

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Anne Beauchamp, 15th Countess of Warwick ( February 4, 1444 - January 3, 1449 ), was the daughter of Henry de Beauchamp, 14th Earl of Warwick , and Cecily Neville, an older sister of Richard Neville, 16. Earl of Warwick , and thus a niece of the eponymous Cecily Neville .

When Anne's father died in 1446, the title of Duke of Warwick , which he had acquired in the meantime, lapsed , but he inherited the dignity of earls on the basis of a special note when it was bestowed on his two-year-old daughter, who was now suo iure Countess of Warwick . Since Anne died in 1449 and no legitimate siblings had their inheritance was including the title of the sister of her father, her eponymous aunt Anne Neville , whose husband, her maternal uncle Richard Neville, now de jure uxoris as Earl of Warwick was titled.
