Cecily Neville, Duchess of York (called Proud Cis , born May 3, 1415 - May 31, 1495 ), was an English noblewoman .

She was the daughter of Ralph Neville, 1st Earl of Westmorland , and Joan Beaufort, Countess of Westmorland . Her mother was a granddaughter of King Edward III.

In 1429 she married Richard Plantagenet, 3rd Duke of York , leader of the House of York in the Wars of the Roses .

In the course of the Wars of the Roses, two of their sons, Edward IV and Richard III. , King of England .
