Anne Milton (born November 3, 1955 in Sussex , England ) is a British politician of the Conservative Party .

Life

Milton attended Haywards Heath Grammar School and studied at London South Bank University , then she worked as a nurse in the National Health Service (NHS) for 25 years . There she also worked as a works councilor.

Milton has been a Member of the British House of Commons since 2005. From May 11, 2010 to September 4, 2012 she was Parliamentary Undersecretary in the Department of Health and Social Care : From September 4, 2012 to July 14, 2014, she was Lord of the Treasury . She was Minister for Women from June 12, 2017 to January 8, 2018. From June 12, 2017 to July 23, 2019, she was Minister in the Ministry of Education . On September 4, 2019, she was expelled from the Conservative Party faction after her parliamentary decision in the lower house to prevent an exit from the EU without an agreement.

Her first marriage was to Neil Milton and her second marriage to Graham Henderson and has four children.
