The Gmina Szubin is an urban-and-rural municipality in the powiat Nakielski of the Kuyavian-Pomeranian Voivodeship in Poland . Its seat is the city ​​of the same name ( German Schubin ) with about 9600 inhabitants.

geography

The municipality borders on the municipality of the district town of Nakło (Nakel) and is located about five kilometers west of the city of Bydgoszcz (Bromberg) . The Gąsawka and Biała Struga are among the rivers.

traffic

There used to be the Szubin station on the Poznań – Bydgoszcz railway line and stops in Kołaczkowo, Pińsko, Rynarzewo and Zalesie and in Kowalewo and Wąsosz on the former Żnin – Szubin railway line .

Szubin still has a freight yard.
