Carl Kiehn

Carl Kiehn (born December 24, 1833 in Zalesie , Schubin district , † December 3, 1894 ) was a German manor owner and member of parliament.

Life

Kiehn attended the Thorner Gymnasium and the Kölln Gymnasium in Berlin. He studied at the Friedrich-Wilhelms-Universität Berlin , the Ruprecht-Karls-Universität Heidelberg and the Rheinische Friedrich-Wilhelms-Universität Bonn . In 1855 he became a member of the Corps Neoborussia Berlin . In 1856 he joined the Corps Guestphalia Heidelberg . After graduating he became a farmer and owner of the Zalesie manor near Exin . At the German war and the Franco-German War Kiehn participated as an officer. His last rank was Rittmeister.

Since a by-election on August 4, 1870, Kiehn sat in the Prussian House of Representatives until 1882 as a member of the constituency Bromberg 3 (Schubin, Inowraclaw) . He belonged to the faction of the National Liberal Party .

His son Georg Kiehn was also a member of the Prussian House of Representatives.
