Anneau du Rhin
The Anneau du Rhin (Rheinring) near Biltzheim in the Haut-Rhin department is a permanent French race and test track that is used for racing and club sport events, track days and presentations.
history
The race track was planned and built by Marc Rinaldi in 1996 on the site of a former hunting ground and is now managed by his son Francois Rinaldi. It is located 2 km southeast of the village of Biltzheim. In 2004 the route was extended with a west loop. The route was completely re-tarred in August 2011 and widened by 1 meter. Since 2013 there has been an optional 3.7 km variant for motorcycles, which can be extended to up to 4 km if necessary.
Route variants
With a maximum length of 4 km and a lane width of 10-12 meters, the Anneau du Rhin is one of the longest racetracks in north-eastern France. It has been homologated for competitions by the national automobile (FFSA) and motorcycle sports associations (FFM) since 2011. The route consists of 3 route loops that can be used independently of each other and can be combined to a maximum of 8 different route variants.
Infrastructure
As a result, a pit system with 43 motorcycle pits was built on the site of the Westschleife. According to the racetrack, the paddock offers space for up to 150 trucks. There is also a traffic training area and a karting track up to 1.1 km long.
