Circuit de Miramas

The Circuit de Miramas is a former motorsport racetrack and today's test track west of Miramas in the Bouches-du-Rhône department in southeastern France .

On the 1924-built racetrack, a 5-km long oval for high speeds, was in 1926 the French Grand Prix instead. In addition, the Grand Prix de Provence was held on the course from 1925 to 1927 and the Grand Prix automobile de Marseille four times between 1932 and 1937 .

In 1963, a standard Ford 12M P4 set over 100 world records in a long-distance test drive. In 1986, BMW France bought the then closed race track and converted it into a test site for testing vehicles and motorcycles regardless of the season. The test site is complemented and encompassed by a 6 km long three-lane high-speed motorway-like route with banked curves .
