Annette Pullen

Annette Pullen (* 1974 in Gelsenkirchen ) is a German theater director.

Life

Pullen staged at the Thalia Theater (Hamburg) , the Schauspiel Hannover, the Volkstheater Vienna , the Theater Magdeburg, the Schauspiel Essen, the Schauspielhaus Bochum, the Staatstheater Stuttgart, the Hans-Otto-Theater Potsdam, the Deutsches Theater Berlin, the Nationaltheater Weimar and others at the theaters in Osnabrück, Heidelberg, Freiburg and Kiel.

In addition to premieres of Jason Sherman's Humility in German and Zaimoglus / Senkels Halb so wild (both 2004), hiking whores by Theresia Walser and a theatrical version of Goethe's The Sorrows of Young Werther were important early productions.

In 2007 she received the Dr. Otto Kasten Prize . In the laudation, particular emphasis was placed on the “lightness of thought music and its undisguised contemporary motif of longing” that is inherent in her productions.

From 2011 to 2015 Pullen was the lead acting director at the Osnabrück Theater. Since 2015 she has been working as a freelance director again.
