Annette Riedel

Annette Riedel is a German presenter and former head radio journalist and foreign correspondent for Deutschlandfunk (DLF) in Brussels .

Life

In 1977 she graduated from high school and studied German and English at the Free University of Berlin . She has been with radio since 1976 and as a freelancer at RIAS in Berlin. From 1981 she received a scholarship in the USA. Since 1997 she has worked as an editor , presenter and author at Deutschlandfunk Kultur in Berlin , where she became head of the editorial department from 2007. In March 2012 she moved to Brussels as a country correspondent and reports from there on the European Union , the Benelux countries and NATO . She is often in Strasbourg to report from the European Parliament and the European Court of Human Rights or the European Court of Justice in Luxembourg . She has been a moderator of public events for many years.

Riedel is the author and contributor to 13 issues of the daily program Background in the DLF and many other programs.
