Annie Le Houérou

Annie Le Houérou (born March 31, 1960 in Plougonver , Département Côtes-d'Armor ) is a French politician . She has been a member of the National Assembly since 2012 .

Le Houérou obtained her high school diploma in Guingamp in 1978 and then studied applied foreign languages ​​and public law in Rennes . In 1987 she obtained a diploma in administration at the Institut régional d'administration in Nantes . From 1988 she worked at the Ministry of Agriculture in Paris . In 1993 she returned to the Côtes-d'Armor department, where she grew up, where she was also an administrative officer. In 2001, when she moved into Guingamp's city council, as suggested by Guingamp's mayor Noël Le Graët , she made the leap into active politics. The following year she became president of the former community association Guingamp Communauté . In 2005 she was elected to the General Council of the Côtes-d'Armor department. She was elected Mayor of Guingamp in the 2008 local elections. In 2012, Le Houérou ran for the Parti socialiste in the fourth constituency of the département and was elected MP in the second ballot with 68.5%.
