Anselm Schubert

Anselm Schubert (born 1969 ) is a German theologian.

Life

Anselm Schubert grew up in Mülheim an der Ruhr . He studied Protestant theology and German at the Universities of Marburg and Tübingen, earned an MA in theology in Durham in 1994 , the state examination in Bavaria in 1997 and received his doctorate in 2000 at the University of Munich . He was then a research assistant at the University of Göttingen . In 2007 he completed his habilitation in Göttingen for the subject of church history . From 2010 to 2012 he held a professorship for Protestant theology and cultural history of Christianity at the University of Erfurt . Since then he has held a professorship for modern church history at the University of Erlangen-Nuremberg . Among other things, Schubert carried out research on Anabaptism , the history of Judeo-Christian relations and the history of churches and cultures in the 19th century.
