The Krogner residence is a protected architectural monument of the market town of Lana in South Tyrol .

history

The residence was built by the Krog (Keroge), a family that first appeared in documents in 1328 and held the estate until the 15th century. Via the Lords of Helmsdorf , it was sold to Khuen-Belasy and then to Goldegg in 1629 . In 1664 the property was sold by Johann Baptist Herzog to Sebastian Parth von Ampossegg. In the 16th and 17th centuries, the house was expanded and remodeled and around 1926 a historicizing renovation.

The square three-storey house with crenellated gables from the 16th century is provided with a pointed arch door in a stone frame, latticed double-arched windows and a two-part bay window .
