Antanas Julijonas Gravrogkas
Antanas Julijonas Gravrogkas ( Antoni Julijan Gravrogc ; born May 18, 1880 in Šeduva , † April 1, 1958 in Kaunas ) was a Lithuanian engineer, mechanic and politician .
Life
His great-grandparents Gravrogk came to northern Lithuania from Westphalia in the 17th century . Julijonas Gravrogkas attended school in Telšiai and from 1892 to 1893 the grammar school in Mintauja ( Jelgava , Latvia ). In 1899 he graduated from the Šiauliai high school . From 1900 he studied at the University of Peterburg in Russia . From 1903 to 1910 he graduated from the Technology Institute in Petersburg . From 1922 to 1924 he taught at the University of Kaunas (VDU), from 1925 as a lecturer. From 1932 to 1933 he was mayor of the municipality of Kaunas . From 1950 he taught at the Technical University of Kaunas .
