Antarctic Press

Antarctic Press is a comic book publisher based in San Antonio ( USA ) that publishes comics in the style of the so-called "American Manga" (or Amerimanga ).

The publishing house was founded in 1984. The first publications were Mangazine and Extremely Silly Comics . Comics published include Gold Digger , Twilight X , Ninja High School , Warrior Nun Areala, and MetaDocs . They were published mainly for fans of Japanese imports such as Power Rangers , Transformers , Voltron and others.

In the 90s , the publisher also released numerous furry comics , such as the revived Albedo Anthropomorphics , Furrlough , Wild Life and Genus . Since 1998 these titles have been published by Radio Comix, a publisher founded for this branch .

According to the company, over 1500 titles with a total circulation of over five million were produced.
