Antenna Germany is a joint venture of absolute Digital GmbH & Co. KG and Media Broadcast . It is the operator of the 2nd DAB + federal muxx , which is currently under construction and is scheduled to start in October 2020. At the moment, broadcasting at 72 broadcasting locations is planned for the start of broadcasting, via which, predominantly, the first DAB + Bundesmuxx (channel 5C) is already being broadcast. This is to ensure that 67 million citizens can be reached by the time it starts broadcasting. A further gradual expansion of the range is planned.
Although founded in 2017, Antenne Deutschland was only able to start operational work at the end of 2019 due to a legal dispute over the award of the platform license. The bouquet of Antenne Deutschland has been under construction since then. As of July 10, 2020, 14 of 16 broadcasting slots have already been allocated. Antenne Deutschland is contributing 6 programs itself.
Programs (as of July 10, 2020)
- 6 channels from Antenne Deutschland
- 2 channels from Antenne Bayern : Antenne Bayern and Rock Antenne
- 2 programs of the RTL Group : RTL Radio and Toggo Radio
- Drivers Classics from WIM
- Joke FM - Comedy and Hits
- Profi radio - specialty program for craftsmen and DIY enthusiasts
- A second program format of the ENERGY Group in Germany
2 program slots are still unoccupied.
reception
Since there is no nationwide uniform frequency available at the start of the broadcast, the broadcast takes place over 4, regionally different frequencies. The advantages of an SFN are only achieved in the respective frequency range. The table below gives an overview of the respective coordination. In the long term, however, a nationwide uniform frequency is sought. The prerequisite for this is an agreement with the respective neighboring countries.
