Anthony Chivers (athlete)
Anthony Chivers ( Anthony Hugh "Tony" Chivers; born April 12, 1920 ) is a retired British long-distance runner .
In 1947 he finished twelfth for England at the Cross of Nations .
At the British Empire Games in Auckland in 1950 , he won bronze over three miles and was sixth over six miles.
In 1947 he became English champion over six miles.
At the torch relay of the 2012 Summer Olympics , he was the oldest bearer of the torch.
