Antichlor

Antichlor is a substance that can eliminate chlorine by reducing it to chloride . In technology, inexpensive reducing agents based on sulfite or thiosulfate are preferably used, so that antichlor usually consists of either sodium sulfite Na 2 SO 3 or sodium disulfite Na 2 S 2 O 5 or sodium thiosulfate Na 2 S 2 O 3 . Antichlor is used to stop bleaching processes in the paper, textile and leather industries.
