The Antilles Current is a warm Atlantic ocean current . It arises when the North Equatorial Current meets the Antilles , flows northeast past or through it and joins the Florida Strait southwest of the Bahamas in the Florida Strait with the Florida Current to form the Gulf Stream .

The Antilles Current is part of the great Atlantic current ring, consisting of the Portugal Current, the Canary Current, the North Equatorial Current, the Antilles Current, the Florida Current, the Gulf Stream and the Northeast Atlantic Current.
