Antje-Marie Steen

Antje-Marie Steen (born Antje-Marie Kolberg ; born March 11, 1937 in Berkenbrück ) is a German politician ( SPD ).

Life

Antje-Marie Steen was born in Brandenburg. She attended secondary school in Grömitz (Schleswig-Holstein) and trained as a pharmacy assistant . In 1970 she joined the SPD. Until 1991 she worked as a pharmacist's assistant from 1983 to 1990, she was druggist in the coop Schleswig-Holstein . From 1970 she was active in local politics as a community representative and from 1982 to 1990 she was a member of the district council in the Ostholstein district .

In 1990 she was elected to the German Bundestag and re-elected in 1994. She held the direct mandate in the Bundestag constituency of Ostholstein from 1998 to 2002. In the SPD parliamentary group , she was “ Commissioner for the interests of people with disabilities ”. Her successor in the constituency of Ostholstein was Bettina Hagedorn (SPD) in 2002 .

Antje-Marie Steen is a member of the trade union trade, banks and insurance companies ( ver.di since 2001 ), the workers' welfare organization , the social association Germany . She also took on honorary positions, for example in the German Nutrition Society , on the advisory board of the Federal Working Group of the Club for the Disabled and their Friends, and until 1996 was a member of the Federal Board of the Working Group of Social Democratic Women .

Antje-Marie Steen is married and has three children.
