Antje Lezius (born June 30, 1960 in Kusel ) is a German politician ( CDU ).

Lezius has two grown children. She lives in Enzweiler , a district of Idar-Oberstein .

Professional

She completed her schooling at the vocational school for business in Idar-Oberstein with a secondary school leaving certificate. In Kirn she completed an apprenticeship as an industrial clerk . She is a certified business economist (IHK), business mediator (IHK) and executive coach ( Fernuniversität Hagen ). Since 2009, Lezius has been working as an independent management consultant with a focus on business mediation and executive coaching. However, the practice of the profession has been suspended since its parliamentary activity.

From April 1998 to June 2007 she was also the managing partner of Frühauf Tanken & Rasten GmbH in Idar-Oberstein and also handled the drafting of contracts with business partners and banks, investment and financial planning, the evaluation of balance sheets, general management tasks, controlling and personnel management and personnel development as well as public relations.

Since April 1998 she has been the managing partner of Frühauf / Lezius GmbH & Co. KG in Idar-Oberstein.

Political activities

In the 2013 federal election , Lezius won the direct mandate in the Kreuznach constituency with 41.4 percent of the first votes and became a member of the Bundestag . It maintains two constituency offices in Idar-Oberstein and Bad Kreuznach. In the Bundestag she has been a member of the Labor and Social Affairs Committee since 2013 . In the 18th legislative period (2013–2017) she was a member of the CDU's “Work of the Future - Future of Work” group, the “Demographic Change” coalition working group of the CDU / CSU and SPD parliamentary groups. Since the 19th electoral term (since 2017), she has also been a member of the Enquete Commission on Vocational Education and Training in the Digital Working World , the Future of Work working group and a deputy member of the Health Committee . In addition, she belongs to the following groups: Small and medium-sized parliamentary circles, Economic Council of the CDU eV, medium-sized and economic association of the CDU / CSU, and the women's union .

In the 2014 local elections, Lezius moved into the district council of the Birkenfeld district . From 2015 to 2017 she was chairwoman of the CDU district association Birkenfeld. In the CDU city association Idar-Oberstein, it belongs to the Enzweiler / Hammerstein district.

Before entering the Bundestag, she had no public political mandates.
