Anton Alekseev
Anton Yurevich Alekseev , Russian Антон Юрьевич Алексеев , Anton Jurjewitsch Alexejew (born August 9, 1967 ), is a mathematician and professor at the University of Geneva .
Alekseev is a student of Ludwig Faddejew . He was at the Steklow Institute in Saint Petersburg and at Uppsala University in the early 1990s.
Alekseev deals with representation theory of Lie groups and algebras, symplectic geometry and mathematical physics.
In 2006 he and Eckhard Meinrenken proved the Kashiwara-Vergne conjecture. In 2008 he gave a new proof with Charles Torossian .
In 2014 he was invited speaker at the ICM in Seoul (Three lives of the Gelfand-Zeitlin integrable system).
