Abdallah Mohamed

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Abdallah Mohamed (born before 1976; died February 3, 2000 in Mutsamudu on the island of Anjouan ) was a Comorian politician. He served, possibly only nominally, as Prime Minister in the transition period from January 6, 1976 to December 22, 1978 .

He was a nephew of Mohamed Ahmed and was in office at a politically troubled time. Ahmed Abdallah was elected the first President of the independent Comoros (État Comorien) in 1975 . However, he was deposed by Said Mohamed Jaffar and Jaffar, in turn, was expelled by Ali Soilih in 1976 . During this time, Abdallah Mohamed became Prime Minister. But this government did not last long either. On October 25, 1978, Ahmed Abdallah reappointed himself as president and did not resign until his death. The Federal and Islamic Republic of Comoros was founded. After Ali Soilih was dismissed, Abdallah Mohamed was in office for just under two months until he was dismissed by Ahmed Abdallah.
