Anton Duhan

Anton Duhan (born August 23, 1882 in Woitzdorf in Moravia ; † March 14, 1958 ) was an Austrian judge at the Supreme Court and a German lawyer .

Life

The son of a Catholic forest manager passed the judicial state examination in 1905 "sufficient". He had a doctorate. In 1907 he became an auscultant at the Vienna Regional Court. He passed the judge's examination in 1910 "well". In 1911 he was appointed judge in Hainburg and in 1917 he was transferred to Mödling. In March 1918 he was promoted to district judge there. In 1921 he was promoted to the district judge in Mödling. In 1923 he got the title of higher regional judge. From May 1, 1929 he was entrusted with the management of the presidential affairs of the OGH Vienna and in 1931 he was presidential secretary. In July 1936 he became a councilor to the Supreme Court.

After Austria's "annexation" to the National Socialist German Reich , Duhan was appointed to the Reich Attorney's Office at the Reichsgericht on April 1, 1939 , to which he served until his retirement on April 1, 1942. As a Reich attorney, he worked on the annulment complaints in Department 6.

Duhan was buried at the Ottakringer Friedhof in Vienna.
