Anton leader

Anton Führer (born September 30, 1854 in Limburg an der Lahn , † July 20, 1929 in Rheine ) was a German teacher , headmaster and author .

He studied in Munich. From 1899 to 1921 he was director of the Dionysianum grammar school in Rheine. He was also there to secretly teacher appointed.

The PhD philosopher and ancient philologist appeared as the author of numerous textbooks for the subjects German and Latin.

Führer was an honorary citizen of the city of Rheine, about whose history he wrote a book after his retirement. In 1917 he had published a brief history of the city. The street on which the high school is located is named after him today.

Führer married Helene Busch († 1907) in Neuss in 1887 and, after her death, was married to Therese Becker for the second time from 1907. He was a father of eight, three of his sons fell in the First World War .
