Anton Germano Rossi

Anton Germano Rossi (born May 29, 1899 in San Secondo Parmense , † 1948 in Rome ) was an Italian journalist and screenwriter .

Rossi began his journalistic career as an editor at "Marc'Aurelio", where he wrote satirical short stories. Other tasks were that of co-editor at “Travaso delle idee”, editor of “Ecco”, employee at “ La Stampa ” and founder of “Il Giornale delle Meraviglie”. He became known primarily through his short stories (which he himself referred to as “counter novels”), which were published during the fascist rule in “Porco qui! Porco là! ”Appeared. His works include u. a. “Facciamo un film!”, “Il famoso barbiere” and the comedy “Il ladro”, which Rossi directed and based on his own script, was also made into a film in 1940 for the big screen. After the Second World War, some of his works were made into films. Together with Achille Campanile, he is considered to be the pioneer of absurd theater .
