Anton Grabenhofer

Anton Grabenhofer (born January 4, 1895 in Karlsdorf ; † July 30, 1967 in Obritz ) was an Austrian politician ( SPÖ ) and farmer. From 1951 to 1959 Grabenhofer was a member of the Lower Austrian state parliament .

Grabenhofer attended elementary school and subsequently completed an apprenticeship as a brush maker. Between 1919 and 1952 he worked as a self-employed master. Grabenhofer represented the Social Democratic Labor Party between 1924 and 1934 in the local council and did his military service between 1943 and 1945 during World War II, where he was taken prisoner by the Soviets. After the end of the war, Grabenhofer was mayor of Pfaffenberg between 1946 and 1957 and represented the SPÖ in the Lower Austrian state parliament between October 18, 1951 and June 4, 1959. In addition, Grabenhofer was deputy chairman of the working farmers' association.
