from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Obritz is a village in the market town of Hadres in Lower Austria .

The place is mentioned for the first time in 1108 as Adalbrechtisdorf . 1136 the place belongs to the monastery Klein-Mariazell . Later the place Albrechts and Obrechts is written. Around 1590 Obritz had around 100 houses, 22 of which were assigned to the Seefeld rulership , 11 to the Dominican convent Imbach , 4 to the Pulgarn monastery , one to the Haugsdorf and one to the Steinbrunn rulership . In 1971 Obritz joined the Hadres community, which had also consisted of Untermarkersdorf since 1968 . The place in the Pulkau valley lives from viticulture, which is why there are three cellar lanes around the place. Passenger traffic on the Pulkau Valley Railway, which passed south, was stopped in 1988.
