Anton Hula

Anton Hula (born November 30, 1896 in Vienna ; † October 17, 1946 ibid) was an Austrian painter of realism.

Life

Hula studied at the Academy of Fine Arts Vienna with Eugen Sturm-Skrla (1894–1943). After completing his studies, he worked as a landscape, still life, genre and portrait painter in Vienna. During the First World War he served as a first lieutenant, then from 1920 he became a civil servant and an office colleague of Emil Beischläger . From July 18, 1946, he was a member of the Vienna Künstlerhaus .

His painting was characterized by a high level of precision. He remained active as a painter even during the Second World War .
