Anton Isenmann , also known as Master Anthoni (first mentioned in 1586/87 and last mentioned in 1612) was a Prismell stonemason and master craftsman.

Life

Isenmann was Catholic and came from the Walser colony Prismell in Valsesia . In 1590 he married Margaretha Gasser from Sempach . In 1586/87 he probably worked on the choir of the Wesemlin monastery . From 1587 he was a master stone maker, from around January 1588 he worked with the sculptor Anton Gross . In 1588 he completed the church of the Wesemlin monastery. In 1589 and 1593 the city of Lucerne elected him as master craftsman. In 1591 and 1592 he built the Rathausen monastery and from 1592 on the Jesuit college Pruntrut . In Lucerne he worked for Philipp Mohr in 1593 ; from 1599 to 1606 he was in charge of the construction of the Lucerne town hall . In 1607 and 1608 he worked on the reconstruction of the Beromünster monastery and the construction of the Werthenstein monastery . He built the Franciscan pilgrimage church of the Werthenstein Monastery between 1608 and 1613.
