Anton Jörgen Andersen
Anton Jörgen Andersen (born October 10, 1845 in Kristiansand , Norway , † September 9, 1926 in Stockholm ) was a Norwegian composer.
Andersen was a cellist with the Trondhjem and Kristiania theater orchestras . From 1876 to 1911 he taught cello and double bass at the Stockholm Conservatory .
In addition to compositions for male choir and piano pieces, Andersen wrote a cello sonata (1877), a concert piece for cellos and double basses, and five symphonies , including one for fourteen cellos and three double basses.
