Anton Jervell

Anton Jervell (born June 14, 1901 in Oslo , † December 29, 1987 ) was a Norwegian internist and cardiologist.

Life

After completing his studies and specialist training, Jervell was first chief physician at a rural hospital, then from 1956 to 1971 professor at Ullevål Hospital in Oslo . In 1957, he and his colleague Frederic Lange-Nielsen described the Jervell-Lange-Nielsen syndrome, which was later named after them .
