Marcel Loosveld

Marcel Loosveld (born January 4, 1963 in Maastricht ) is a Dutch futsal coach and former player.

Career

As a player in the Dutch national team , Loosveld took part in the 1989 first Futsal World Cup. Loosveld scored five goals and finished second with his team after losing 2-1 in the final against Brazil . After he ended his active career he became a coach at the Tilburg Futsal Club and later took over the U-21 national team of the Netherlands. With this team he took part in the 2009 European Championships in St. Petersburg . A year later Loosveld became the coach of the Dutch national team, with which he took part in the 2014 European Championships in Belgium . In 2016 he ended his engagement in the Netherlands and one year later he became national coach of the German national team as the successor to Paul Schomann .
