The Dutch national futsal team is a representative selection of Dutch futsal players . The team represents the Dutch Football Association in international matches. In the early stages of the sport, the team was one of the strongest teams in Europe, but at the turn of the millennium the team slipped into mediocrity.

Performing in tournaments

In 1982 and 1985 a Dutch team took part in the world championships of the world futsal association FIFUSA , but were eliminated in the group stage. In 1989, FIFA selected the Netherlands to host the first FIFA-sponsored World Cup. The Dutch team reached the final, in which they lost to Brazil 1: 2. At the following three World Championships (1992, 1996, 2000) the selection was eliminated in the intermediate round, in 2004, 2008, 2012 and 2016 you failed in the qualification.

At the Futsal European Championship , which has been held since 1996, the best result was achieved in 1999 with 4th place. Since then, the team has either dropped out in the preliminary round (2001, 2005, 2014) or did not even qualify for the European Championship finals (2003, 2007, 2010, 2012, 2016)
