European Futsal Championship 1996

The 1st European Futsal Championship was held from January 8-14, 1996 in Cordoba ( Spain ). Six national teams took part in the tournament, initially in groups and then in a knockout system . The Spanish host team won the title .

qualification

Venues

The EM was held in the Palacio Municipal de Deportes Vista Alegre in Córdoba. It has space for 4,000 spectators.

Attendees

Six teams took part in the 1996 European Championship, Spain automatically qualified as hosts. A total of 17 nations competed for the remaining 5 places in the qualification, which were divided into three groups, with the first two teams in each group receiving a place for the final round.
