The Belgian national futsal team is a representative selection of Belgian futsal players . The team represents the Belgian Football Association in international matches. In the early stages of the sport, the team was one of the strongest teams in Europe, but at the turn of the millennium the team slipped into mediocrity.

Performing in tournaments

At the invitation of FIFA, the Belgian Football Association sent a team to the first Futsal World Cup in the Netherlands in 1989 . The team only failed in the semi-finals against eventual world champions Brazil in the six-meter shootout and ended up fourth. At the following two World Championships (1992, 1996) it was enough to move into the intermediate round, since then the World Cup qualification has been missed.

The first time the European Futsal Championship was held , the best result was achieved, after a 3-2 win in the game for third place, the 1996 tournament was completed on bronze. Since then, they either dropped out in the preliminary round (1999, 2003, 2010, 2014) or didn't even qualify for the European Championship finals (2001, 2005, 2007, 2012, 2016).
