The qualification for the Futsal European Championship 2001 took place from September 27th to November 5th, 2000 in seven groups in different countries. In addition to the EM host Russia , the other seven starting places were secured in the qualification. The final tournament took place from February 22nd to 28th, 2001 in Moscow .
