The qualification for the Futsal European Championship 2016 took place from January 13th to September 22nd, 2015 in a total of 13 groups and one play-off . In addition to the EM host Serbia , the other eleven starting places were secured in the qualification. In the preliminary round, the participants with the worst UEFA coefficient played against each other in six groups. The group winners advanced to the qualifying round. The second-placed and the best third-placed in the qualifying round played the last four starting places for the EM in Serbia in a play-off.
