Anton Kehrer

Anton Kehrer (born January 17, 1893 in Putzleinsdorf ; † November 15, 1984 ibid) was an Austrian farmer, cooperative official and politician ( ÖVP ). From 1945 to 1949 he was a member of the Upper Austrian Landtag .

Life

Anton Kehrer was born in 1893 as the son of the farmer couple Ignaz and Theresia Kehrer in Putzleinsdorf, where he also attended elementary school. In addition to his job as a farmer, he was mainly active in various agricultural cooperatives and associations. From 1935 to 1960 he was a member of the board of directors and chairman of the supervisory board of the Rohrbach warehouse cooperative , from 1945 to 1963 a board member of the Schärdinger dairy association and chairman of the Fleckvieh breeders' association in Mühlviertel and from 1945 to 1955 chairman of the seed cultivation cooperative. From 1949 to 1961, Kehrer was also a member of the Chamber of Commerce of Upper Austria.

Kehrer worked on a voluntary basis between 1950 and 1967 as a member of the parish council of Putzleinsdorf and was active as a member of the Putzleinsdorf music association for five decades .

Kehrer was married and had seven children.

From 1925 to 1960 - with the exception of the time of National Socialism - Kehrer was farmers' association -Obmann in the local association Putzleinsdorf and in the district association of the judicial district Lembach ; at the state level he was a committee member from 1945 to 1973. In Putzleinsdorf, Kehrer was a member of the community council from 1924 to 1938 and from 1945 to 1961. Between 1933 and 1938 Kehrer was the local leader of the Fatherland Front . From 1945 to 1949 he was a member of the Upper Austrian Landtag in the first legislative period after the Second World War .

Awards

In 1950, Kehrer was awarded the professional title of Economics Council. In 1961 the municipality of Putzleinsdorf granted him honorary citizenship.
