Anton Sergeyevich Galkin
Anton Sergejewitsch Galkin ( Russian Антон Сергеевич Галкин ; born February 20, 1979 in Leningrad ) is a former Russian athlete .
He took part in the 2003 World Championships in Paris . Both in the 400-meter run and with the Russian 4-by-400 relay, however, he was eliminated in the preliminary run. In 2004 he became the Russian champion over 400 m. At the European Cup in 2004 he reached second place with the Russian relay. Then Galkin took part in the Olympic Games in Athens , where he reached the semifinals. During the doping control , however, he tested positive for stanozolol and banned him for two years.
Galkin is married to the runner Gulnara Galkina .
